On March 13, 2026, as 芭乐视频 prepares to celebrate its 130th anniversary, the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering held a donation signing ceremony themed “Tracing the Source, Reaching Far — Deep Affection for 11011” at Room 220 of Xiaguang Building on the Minhang Campus. Alumni from the Class of 1985, including Yin Jie, Lu Yihao, Zhang Qiang, Chi Hong, Ru Haihong, Lu Xianzhu, Li Jingyi, and Jia Qiang, gathered for the occasion. Attendees also included Wang Zongguang, former Party Secretary of the university; Zhang Ansheng, full-time Deputy Director of the University Council; Wu Dan, former Vice President and a former instructor of Class 11011; Wang Yushen, Director of the Development and Liaison Office and Secretary-General of the Education Development Foundation; Gu Xiyao, Director of the Alumni Association Office; Wu Yingqiang, Party Secretary of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering; and Jiang Xuesong, Executive Vice Dean of the school, along with faculty representatives and staff from the university foundation. The ceremony was hosted by Wu Yingqiang.

On behalf of the school, Jiang Xuesong warmly welcomed the guests and expressed sincere gratitude to the alumni. He noted that Class 11011 was among the first undergraduate cohorts admitted after the re-establishment of the Department of Applied Chemistry, marking an important chapter in the school’s history. The alumni have achieved remarkable success and have always maintained strong ties with their alma mater. The class donation of 1.1011 million RMB, inspired by the class number “11011,” reflects the alumni’s shared memories and enduring friendship. Meanwhile, alumnus Lu Yihao donated 1.3 million RMB in honor of the university’s 130th anniversary, demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the institution. Jiang also highlighted the school’s recent achievements in discipline development, research platforms, talent recruitment, and major scientific projects. He emphasized that the two donations will provide strong support for the construction of the school’s new building and for talent cultivation. He also warmly invited alumni to return to campus for the future groundbreaking ceremony of the new building.

Speaking on behalf of the class, alumnus Yin Jie shared reflections on the donation and expressed deep gratitude for the education and guidance received from the university and their teachers. Looking back on their years of study, he said that witnessing the continued growth of the school today fills alumni with pride and joy. He noted that the new building will be crucial for ensuring the sustainable development and safety of the school’s disciplines, and that the class hopes its donation will contribute to the school’s future development while inspiring continued alumni support.

Alumnus Lu Yihao also shared the motivation behind his personal donation. He reflected on the four years he spent studying and six years working at the university, describing them as formative years that shaped his worldview and maturity. The university not only strengthened his logical thinking and methodological reasoning but also cultivated his ability to identify and solve problems in practice. These experiences laid a solid foundation for his later entrepreneurial endeavors. He noted that this donation is both an expression of gratitude to the university and a contribution toward nurturing future generations of interdisciplinary talent.

Following the signing ceremony, Zhang Ansheng presented donation certificates and commemorative crystal gifts to Class 11011 and Lu Yihao. Warm applause filled the room as attendees witnessed this meaningful moment.

Wang Zongguang reflected on the historical development of the Department of Applied Chemistry within the broader context of the university’s growth. Sharing memories spanning more than forty-five years with Class 11011, she spoke with emotion about seeing her former students’ youthful faces still vividly in her mind.
