First-Year Application Plans

°ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ offers first-year applicants a choice of four application plans: Early Action, Early Decision I, Early DecisionÌýII and Regular Decision. Please see below for more details on each option along with pertinent dates and deadlines.

Early Action (EA) is a non-binding application plan that is ideal for students who would like to apply early in their senior year but are not sure what college or university they would like to attend yet. Early Action applicants will receive an admission decision of admit, deny or defer.

Early Decision I (EDI) is for students who have decided that °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ is their first choice after a thorough and thoughtful college search and know they would choose to enroll immediately if offered admission. This application plan is binding, meaning that if admitted you will enroll at °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ and withdraw all applications to other colleges and universities.ÌýEarly Decision I applicants will receive an admission decision of admit, deny or defer.

Early Decision II (EDII) is for students who have decided that °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ is their first choice after a thorough and thoughtful college search and know they would choose to enroll immediately if offered admission, but are not ready to make that commitment by November 1. This application plan is binding, meaning that if admitted you will enroll at °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ and withdraw all applications to other colleges and universities. Early Decision II applicants will receive an admission decision of admit, deny or waitlist.

Regular Decision (RD) is the standard, non-binding application plan. If you think that your senior year grades and testing results (if choosing to send them) would enhance your candidacy, we recommend you apply RD. This will also allow you more time to work on your application essays, as they are an additional important component to your application. Regular Decision applicants will receive an admission decision of admit, deny or waitlist.

If you decide after submitting your application that you would like to switch your admission plan from Early Action or Regular Decision to one of our binding Early Decision rounds, please emailÌýgotovu@villanova.edu. With that email, please attach a completedÌýEarly Decision Agreement Form.

Please note that our deadline for application plan change from Early Action to Early Decision I is November 10. Our deadline for deferred Early Action candidates or students who previously selected Regular Decision as their application plan to change to Early Decision II is January 31.

Please note:ÌýIf you are having trouble completing your application by the deadlines above due to impacts from a natural disaster, personal extenuating circumstance or a school-related disruption, please know we are flexible with our deadlines. Transfer Applications

°ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ welcomes transfer applications from students with previous college experience from other institutions. The deadline to submit all transfer application materials isÌýMarch 15, for entry that fall term.

Other Important Deadlines

Honors Program Consideration

All first-year applicants to °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ will be considered for the Honors Program. Students selected will be notified by the end of March.

Health Affiliation Programs

For students who feel an early certainty about their professional direction, °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ offers first-year applicants the opportunity to simultaneously apply for °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ admission and a graduate degree program at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine or theÌýPennsylvania College of Optometry at Drexel University.

Applicants must apply Early Action to °ÅÀÖÊÓÆµ and submit their completed application by November 1.Ìý
