Below is a partial listing of some of the communities in the area where Ƶ students participate, but feel free to reach out if there are other opportunities you are seeking.

Local Faith Communities

651 N. Wayne Ave, Wayne, PA

Church of the Savior is an evangelical, nondenominational church with a heart for ministry with college students, located 10 minutes from campus in Wayne, PA. A shuttle (see schedule below) picks up students on Sunday mornings for both the 9 AM and the 10:30 AM services; the earlier shuttle gives students the opportunity to attend a College Sunday School class led by Pastor Jon Christman before the 10:30 service.

  • 8:35 a.m.--COS shuttle leaves Connelly Center circle for 9 a.m. service or Sunday School.
  • 10 a.m.--COS shuttle leaves Connelly Center circle for 10:30 a.m. service.

*Shuttle returns students to campus after the service.

1116 Lancaster Avenue, Rosemont, PA

Church of the Good Shepherd in nearby Rosemont, an Episcopal parish church in the progressive Anglo-Catholic tradition, with Mass at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays. “At Good Shepherd, God is worshiped in the beauty of holiness: through glorious music, reverent worship, hopeful preaching of the Good News, and transcendent beauty, all within the Anglo-Catholic tradition. We offer faith formation to enrich our collective lives of discipleship. And we strive to extend our arms in love to our neighbors, beyond the walls of this parish church. As Christians within the Episcopal Church, we seek to know Christ and make him known to all whom we meet, no exceptions.”

City Line Church is a diverse and welcoming faith with a vibrant congregation that draws people from a wide range of vocations, ethnicities, life stages, and denominational backgrounds. Members work in schools, hospitals, offices, stores, and homes, and they come from the Philadelphia area, other parts of the country, and even around the world. Wherever you are on your faith journey, you're welcome to join us – to ask questions, to observe, to care and be cared for. Through it all, we seek to experience and share God’s love and goodness in Jesus Christ – for ourselves, our city, and the world. 4050 Main St., Philadelphia (Manayunk)

Sunday morning services are held at 9 and 10:30 a.m. “On Sunday morning, we worship through prayer, singing, hearing the Word, and responding in trust and obedience. In our Citygroups, we worship through the study of Scripture, prayer, and service. A nondenominational congregation, Freedom Church gathers on Sundays at 9 and 10:30 a.m.in the Loews Hotel in Center City. For more information or to join a carpool, contact Daniella Forson.

855 Buck Lane, Haverford, PA

A small congregation of students, professors, families, and olderFriends gathers at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. All are welcome, and all participate freely. Quakerism includes Christians, Jews, Muslims,Buddhists, Hindus, and non-theistFriends. We have no officially designated clergy. Refreshments and socializing follow the meetings. 8210 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA

St. George is a small and welcoming community in Upper Darby. It is a beautiful and diverse parish representing many cultures and backgrounds. Divine Liturgy is offered at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays, preceded by Orthros (morning prayer service) at 9:30 a.m.“We are a diverse community of worshipers gathering together just outside of Philadelphia ​to worship God, proclaim the Gospel, and love our neighbors. We'd love for you to look around, get in touch, and ‘come and see.’” If you would like to carpool with other Ƶ students to attend St. George, you can contact Constantino (Kodi) Triantafillou

“We welcome you to join us in worship at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday mornings. We seek to follow Jesus Christ as Lord by encountering God in worship, engaging with scripture, loving our neighbors and the world with generosity and service, and caring for each other.” The church is located next to the Wayne TrainStation in downtown Wayneand is three stops, or approximately 6 minutes, from the Ƶ Train Station (traveling west).

The Islamic Society of Greater Valley Forge (ISGVF) strives to promote good will, understanding and fellowship among Muslims, and promote the understanding of Islam. Established in 1984, ISGVF has grown into a vibrant community center offering religious, educational, and social services. With a strong volunteer base, the Society operates independently, upholding Islamic values while serving the Greater Valley Forge area.

This community, in the Korean Won Buddhist tradition, offers a Dharma Service in English onSaturdays from 10-11:30 a.m. The service includes various forms of meditation (sitting, chanting, walking, moving, prayer, etc.), a dharma talk, and a discussion on Won Buddhist philosophy and practice. On every 4th Saturday, the Dharma service will include Won Moving Meditation. For more information, see the website or call 215.886.8443.

Located in the heart of Ƶ's campus, Mission & Ministry is housed in .St. Rita Hall is named for St. Rita of Cascia, a 15th-century Augustinian nun renowned for her faithful perseverance and works of peace and reconciliation.
