- Ƶ Law Fall 2025 Open House, 11/15 Join us for our admissions open house on Saturday, November 15. Meet faculty, staff and current students, and learn more about our academic program. You will have the opportunity to take a tour of the Law School and get answers to your questions about admissions, financial aid and student life.
- 66th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition, 11/20 The final round of the 66th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition will take place on Thursday, November 20, at 5:00 p.m. in the Martin G. McGuinn ’67 Ceremonial Courtroom (Room 201). It is open to the public and will be livestreamed. Following the final round, an awards ceremony and reception will be held in the Arthur M. Goldberg ’66 Commons.
- Building Bridges Series: “Undivided: The Quest for Racial Solidarity in an American Church,” 10/28 Join Mark C. Alexander, the Arthur J. Kania Dean and Professor of Law, as he leads a discussion with Hahrie Han, professor and the inaugural director of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Agora Institute at Johns Hopkins University, about her recent book, "Undivided: The Quest for Racial Solidarity in an American Church." This discussion, co-sponsored by Ƶ Law and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, is part of the “Building Bridges” series.
- Third Annual Anti-Poverty Symposium, 10/24 Join scholars, advocates, policymakers and community leaders for the Third Annual Anti-Poverty Symposium focused on innovative strategies to combat poverty through intersectional and community-driven approaches. This year’s symposium will feature a conversation with Matthew Desmond, Maurice P. During Professor of Sociology at Princeton University and author of multiple books, including "Poverty, by America" (2023) and "Evicted: Poverty and Profit in the American City" (2016), which won a Pulitzer Prize. Expert panels will focus on health, housing, employment, climate action and government policy at local levels.

- Ƶ Law Announces Collaboration with Harvey AI Ƶ Charles Widger School of Law is one of twelve schools that recently joined the “Harvey for Law Schools” Program, an initiative that provides access to Harvey AI, a domain-specific generative AI for legal and professional services.
- Students Share 2025 Externship and Judicial Externship Experiences Every summer, Ƶ Law students participate in law-based externship positions to further their legal education with hands-on experiences in professional settings throughout the United States and even abroad. Several students discussed the takeaways of their experiences as externs and judicial externs this summer.
- New Faculty Chair Appointments Beginning Fall 2025 Mark C. Alexander, The Arthur J. Kania Dean of the Ƶ Charles Widger School of Law, recently announced two new faculty chair appointments beginning in fall 2025. Professor Todd Aagaard is the Heller McGuinness Leadership Chair and Professor Jennifer O’Hare is the Martin G. McGuinn Chair in Business Law.
- Scarpa Center Celebrates 10 Years of Fostering Innovative Law Practice & Business Strategy This year, the John F. Scarpa Center for Entrepreneurship and Law at Ƶ Charles Widger School of Law celebrates its 10th anniversary. Serving as a hub for innovative law and business strategy, the Center engages students in the practical application of their law studies and better prepares them for today’s business-centric legal practice.
